Paul Flynn's fencing debutant Bremen capitalised on the fall of favourite Lucky William to land the Tipperary The Home Of Liam McCarthy Beginners Chase.
Lucky William coasted along in front on the home turn and Bryan Cooper was looking around for non-existent dangers on the run to the second-last fence.
The six-year-old seemed to jump it well enough, but he crumpled to the ground and Bremen (8-1), who was the only rival still in contention, galloped on to score by six lengths in the hands of Barry Geraghty.
