Review ROSCOMMON 18TH AUG

Galistic continued the flying form of Pat Flynn's yard when completing a handicap hat-trick at Roscommon on Friday night.

The progressive daughter of Galileo hit the front early in the straight in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Handicap and stayed on strongly under Danny Grant to record a two-and-a-half-length verdict over Superjet.

Mick Kinane grabbed a brace at the meeting courtesy of Kissinthemoonlight and Tovaria.

The John Oxx-trained filly, Kissinthemoonlight, made all for a cosy two-and-a-half length victory in the opening Oran (Fillies) Maiden.

Kinane produced Edward Harty's charge Tovaria with a well-timed run to lead a furlong out in the Lecarrow Auction Maiden and beat Tralanza by a length-and-a-half.

The God Of Love (7/2 to 9/4f) attracted good support in the Casey's Auto Group Race and duly collected.

Johnny Murtagh was keen to lead on the Ger Lyons-trained colt and he battled well when joined by Galilean, two furlongs out, to prevail by half a length.

Miss Blarney Stone responded well for Pat Smullen inside the final furlong of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden to get the better of Gist by three-parts-of-a-length.

Can She Dance got up close home to edge the verdict in a three-way battle to the Casey's Centra & Foodcourt Handicap while Lounaos held off the persistent challenge of Eastern Bloc to land the concluding Frenchpark Maiden.

Bawn Og and Bernabeu both gained deserved wins at a rain softened Tramore.

Mark Fahey gave Bawn Og a positive ride from the front, in the Surf & Turf (QR) Maiden Hurdle.

The Adrian Sexton-trained gelding stayed on strongly in the closing stages to score by four lengths from Moody Lad.

Bernabeu ended a sequence of placed efforts when repelling the late run of Glorious Moments, by a short-head, in the AIB Maiden Hurdle.

Paddy Flood sent the 13/8f to the lead four out but he was soon challenged by Ethon. Edward O'Grady's charge got the better of that rival after the second last but then had to contend with the flying finish of Glorious Moments.

Davy Russell timed his run to perfection on Teutonic Prince in the opening Beat 102/103 FM Handicap Hurdle as he got up close home to deny Oily Colman by a neck.

Andrew McNamara also made his winning move two out when landing the Ernst & Young Handicap Chase aboard Garsington.

Ruby Walsh was also on the mark as Keevas Boy finished strongly after the last to claim the Guillamene Beginners Chase.
