Aggie's Lad made it two wins on the bounce as he justified favouritism with a wide-margin win in the Seamus Weldon Novice Chase at Killarney.
Sent off the 8-11 favourite, jockey Robbie Power was happy to bide his time as The Gloves Are Off set off at a scorching pace in the early stages.
However, Aggie's Lad breezed through to take it up three fences from home and despite running down the last slightly, Power's mount coasted home by a distance.
Winning handler Tony Martin said: "That was good, I was sure something was going to happen him by the way my luck has been going lately. But he did it well, he jumped great, loved the ground and I couldn't be any happier with him.
"That's his ideal trip and he just loves the fast ground. We'll try to pick out something similar for him next."
Frosty Night (11-1) struck for jockey Tom Doyle and trainer Michael Hourigan Jnr in the Dan Linehan's Irish Racing Pub of The Year Handicap Chase.
"The heavy ground has just been a nightmare for us. The key to this horse is good ground and lots of swimming," said Hourigan Jnr.
Donal Coffey's Printing Copper (8-1) was an eight-length victor in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle under Donal MacAuley.
Coffey said: "That was great. I knew she wanted better ground but I thought the ground today might have been a bit fast for her, but she seemed to go on it and we'll keep her going through the summer."
James Leavy's Time 'N' Talent (9-1) made a successful seasonal bow in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden.
"That was great, it's the owner's first winner and I'm delighted for them as they have been great supporters of mine," said Leavy.
"A man called Paddy Burke used to help me out and I wanted to name a good horse after him when he passed away last year and this was the horse we picked."
Winning jockey Fran Berry supplemented that success with victory aboard Lady Excel (16-1) in the following Cahernane House Hotel Handicap.
