Review gowran park 8th Apr Jim Bolger's fantastic start to the season continued at Gowran Park, with We'll Go Walking's win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden capping a treble for the trainer.Beresford Stakes runner-up Orgilgo Bay was hugely disappointing on his return to action when fading tamely in the home straight after making the running, allowing We'll Go Walking, who had pulled hard early on, to take the lead.Though not looking the easiest of rides for Rory Cleary, the 16-1 chance kept up the gallop well enough to deny Ralston Road by four lengths.Rapid Approach (5-1) registered a determined success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden under Kevin Manning.Coquette Noire coasted into the lead just before the furlong marker, but Rapid Approach wouldn't go down with a fight and Bolger's colt got back up by a nose.Bolger and Manning completed a quick double when Morning With Ivan made virtually all to land the Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Handicap.Making his handicap debut on his seasonal return, the 9-2 chance had all his rivals hard at work at the furlong pole and kept on well to beat Burnt Sienna by a length.Bolger and Manning were forced to miss out with Quill And Vellum, who just failed to peg back Killena Boy (14-1), who broke a six-year drought in the Kilkenny Handicap. The duo also just missed out in the Goresbridge Handicap, as Speed Dial (8-1) finished fast on the outside to deny Fionnuar by a length and a quarter under Colm O'Donoghue. The closest finish of the day came in the Bennettsbridge Rated Race, where Dermot Weld's Stuccodor (7-4 favourite) got up close home to edge out Euphrasia by a nose under Pat Smullen.Weld's bid for a double was foiled in the concluding Thomastown Maiden, as Spirit Of Concorde was denied by Curley Bill (14-1) under Emmet McNamara.
