< Fosters Cross ran out a gutsy winner of the Guinness Handicap Chase at Galway.

Adrian Maguire's 12-1 chance was in front from a long way out and appeared to have plenty of pretenders to his throne on the home turn, but he found plenty for Declan Queally's pressure and went on to beat Churchfield Champ by two and a quarter lengths.< Weslife created a huge upset in the Eventus Beginners Chase for trainer Iggy Madden.
