Review FAIRYHOUSE 6TH AUG Racing continues again this week after the marathon Galway festival last week, with Fairyhouse's seven race card beginning at 5.45pm.The featured event on the card is the Beech Median Auction Race of E20,000. Trainer Kevin Prendergast and jockey Declan McDonogh had a memorable Galway and the combination may again strike in tomorrow's feature with Kurbaan. The son of Woodborough has a current rating of 91 and faces tough opposition from Dermot Weld's Great Compton, a recent winner at Killarney who found the going too tough subsequently at Galway. The opening six furlong nursery presents Mister Marmaduke with a hat-trick opportunity for jockey Robbie Burke but faces much stiffer opposition after being raised in the weights for his wins at The Curragh and Down Royal. Dermot Weld's Reality Check has disappointed but with a rating of just 69, can now be expected to go close.Trainer Tony Martin has his horses in excellent form and the Co. Meath handler combines forces with jockey Johnny Murtagh who partners Rick in the mile and a half 0-60 handicap, while the 1m2f apprentice maiden may present Declan Gilespie's Final Opinion with a winning opportunity after many decent placed runs.Racing in Connaught is at Sligo, where the first of a seven race mixed flat and national hunt card commences at 5.30pm where Some Trainer looks the value bet in the 67-88 Handicap Hurdle. David Casey's mount has run well over fences recently and tomorrow's race is well within his ability.
