McKiernan said, “He was off for a long time with injury and we gave him a run in Punchestown but I came here today thinking he’d need another run. I was wrong and Phillip gave him a great ride. “Phillip said beforehand that he would finish strong but we were wondering what pace would be in the race. They went quick enough and it was a good performance. “If he stays sound is the big thing. He’s a gent of a horse and we love him. “I’m delighted with that.”
