Maxwell chasing more winners Adnap was the fourth horse to register consecutive successes at Dundalk this evening as winning jockey Conor Maxwell himself followed-up a recent big-race triumph to land the opening division of the Bet On The Best Night Out Handicap on the Dermot McLoughlin trained gelding. Adnap was a winner on his previous run at the venue on January 17 and today under Maxwell followed up with three parts of a length win over Kinch. Jockey Maxwell gained a career highlight as a jump jockey with a Leopardstown Chase win on 33/1 outsider Glamorgan Duke at the Dublin Racing Festival on February 2 and following his latest win, stated “he (Adnap) was a bit slow away and got trapped behind a few. I just had to sit and suffer. He travelled well throughout and I took my time and came through them. He picked up well when he had to. “He impressed me more tonight than he did the last day. He’s improving all the time and hopefully he’ll keep improving. He’s enjoying it here.” Tonight's earlier winners Eglish (which completed a hat-trick of recent wins), King's Vow and Jon Ess were each successful on their previous starts. Quotes from Alan Magee
