Roger Loughran was seen to good effect when winning The Lakelands Maiden Hurdle aboard the Dessie Hughes trained Ten Fires for owner Barry Connell.
Loughran battled with 11/10 favourite Danderry all the way from last hurdle and kept on well to win by 2 ? lengths.
Hughes said afterwards, "He wants 3 miles and he got it here today. He's tough and he stays, we'll probably go for a hurdle with him and go chasing with him in the Autumn."
