Loosen My Load looks a name to note for the future after following up two bumper victories by readily maintaining his unbeaten record on his jumping debut in the Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health Maiden Hurdle.
The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding (9/10fav) jumped like an old pro as he stretched clear in the straight for Andrew Lynch to easily beat Luzdeluna by four and a half lengths.
“I'm delighted for the owners, Alan and Ann Potts, as he's a proper horse. He could go for a Grade 3 novice at Tipperary early next month, and the Grade 2 at Cheltenham's November meeting is also a possibility as the owners would like to have runners at that meeting,” said de Bromhead.
The Co. Waterford trainer also had news of Sizing Europe saying, “He's in great form, and we are looking at starting him off at Punchestown next month over two and a quarter miles. Hopefully he can then go for a Grade 2 at Cheltenham in November.”
