Racing prominently seems to be the key at Gowran Park today and Last Minute Lisa was another to score from the front when taking the seven-furlong handicap on the card.
Chris Hayes made most of his number one draw on the Strategic Prince filly as she made every post a winning one.
The Shane Donohoe-trained charge had her rivals off the bridle turning in and stuck to her task well when asked for an effort passing the two furlong pole.
She kept on well in the closing stages to post a two-and-a-quarter length success over fellow 20/1 shot Notgonnagiveup Missile Command in third was the same price as the race proved somewhat of a bookie's benefit.
The winner had been placed a couple of times on the all-weather in England last winter but had been well held on all recent starts.
“The owner is a gent as this horse has been very frustrating,” said Donohoe.
“Gerry (Dolan) likes to have a bet and he's after losing plenty on her. I don't think he had much on today.
“He came over from London to see her run at Ballinrobe but he went home disappointed after that. He owns a pub called the Westminster Arms.
“Chris went out with a game-plan to make use of her draw. He kicked on two furlongs out and she kept on well from there.
“Hopefully the handicapper doesn't murder her now as she's only 14-2 hands high.”
