A precautionary inspection has been called at 1pm to determine whether this evening's meeting at Leopardstown will go ahead. The course is currently raceable with the going soft to heavy.

A further 15mm of rain fell on the Foxrock track last night on top of 25mm yesterday and, in view of a forecast for further rain today, a precautionary inspection has been called for lunchtime.

The first on a seven race card, featuring the Seamus & Rosemary McGrath Memorial Saval Beg Stakes, is scheduled to get underway at 6.05pm.

Meanwhile Navan is currently soft ahead of their meeting on Saturday, while the ground at the Curragh is described as soft to heavy.

The Curragh reports 36mm of rain in the past 24 hours.

The forecast today is for further rain, heavy at times, while Saturday and Sunday are expected to be generally dry.
