Favourite backers struck early in Limerick as Killer Miller took the honours in Limerick's opening maiden hurdle.
Mark Walsh was on board the six-year-old gelding for Noel Meade and he always had him close to the pace that was set by Isabellesprincess in this two mile five race.
The son of Flemensfirth travelled strongly and came through to lead two out. Too Many Notes was still in with a chance on his outer, however, a good jump from the 7/4 favourite at the last enabled him to win by four and a half lengths.
Too Many Notes kept on for second at 40/1. The front two pulled clear before the final hurdle. Ben Button (20/1) stayed on for third, beaten nine and a half lengths by the winner.
The winner raced in JP McManus' colours for the first time. His racing manager Frank Berry said: "He did it nicely and the trip was no problem to him. He jumped well and we'll see what Noel (Meade) wants to do but he might get a break as he's been busy."
Regarding his purchase from owner/trainer Meade, Berry added: "Noel liked him and he was for sale so this is a quick return and he should jump a fence down the road."
This win improved Mark Walsh's record to 7-19 in the last fortnight.
