Colin Keane bagged a quick double at Dundalk this afternoon when the Noel Meade-trained Your Call stayed on best to land the seven-furlong nursery.

Keane soon had his mount prominent from his wide draw and he was disputing passing the three marker.

Front-runner Lyle The Crocodile had the advantage going to the furlong pole but Your Call wore that rival down inside the final furlong before holding Powerful Lady to record a neck win.

The 10/3 favourite had lost out by half a length in a mile nursery here last month.

Keane said: "He is a horse who will get further - a mile and, maybe even in the middle of the summer, he might even end up going a mile and a-quarter.

"To be honest, he's a horse that always worked to a nice level, so he has been a little bit disappointing. We thought he would win his median auction earlier in the year but, for one or another reason, he didn't

"Here we are now, so nice to get his head in front.

"I tried to be positive (from stall 16) and we got there relatively easy enough. Myself and Rob (Whearty on Lyle The Crocodile) dictated and I thought anything that came to him would only bring him along, because he's not a horse that will do a whole pile when he gets there."

When asked if he could be a juvenile hurdler, he replied: "I wouldn't write it off - he's not a small horse, he's a good-sized horse, fairly athletic. I think when Noel is buying those yearlings, he has that in the back of his mind."

On riding for Meade, he added: "Noel has been very good to me since I was an apprentice and, especially in the last couple of years, we have joined up in a good relationship.

"I go in there a morning a week especially now that he has gone more to the Flat than jumps.

"He's a gentleman to ride for and I'm very lucky to be in the position I am."
