Jockey Enright makes winning debut for trainer Paul Nolan Philip Enright registered a winner on his first ride for trainer Paul Nolan at Punchestown today as the pair struck with lightly-weighted My Club Colours in the Irish Jockeys Association (Mares) Handicap Hurdle. Nolan's first-choice jockey Bryan Cooper was unable to 'do' the 9st13lbs weight and with O'Keeffe, My Club Colours' previous rider, unable to utilise his 5lbs claim, the winning spare ride was handed to jockey Enright, who steered the daughter of Jeremy to a well-judged four lengths win over Minx Tiara. Nolan later said “we were going to wait for three miles as I was worried about the tightness of the track. She was off the bridle the whole way in Fairyhouse the last day and Sean O’Keeffe said you may step her up in trip. “In fairness she went away and won it. It’s job done. “The owners are linked to the Stradbally GAA Club.” Quotes from Alan Magee
