Intenser secured his second success of the year when taking the nursery on the card at Gowran Park.
Ronan Whelan's mount disputed in the early stages of the seven furlong contest and was a close second to front-runner Wee Monster at halfway.
The Brendan Duke-trained gelding was driven into the lead at the furlong marker and kept on well in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-half verdict.
Soebroto just edged out stable-mate Perfect Fit in a tight finish for second. Cocoon was sent off the 7/4 favourite but could only finish sixth after failing to pick up from the rear.
“He's not too bad - I like him a lot,” said Duke afterwards.
“I had a big row with myself after Sligo (finished fifth last time). I thought he would win but he scoped afterwards three out of five for mucus. It'll never happen with me, for certain, again.
“He's an honourable chap and turns up for work every morning. There should be another day or two in him.”
The winner had also scored on his handicap debut at the Curragh last month.
