Impressive Cambiaso provides Lordan with Cork double There will be fewer more impressive maiden winners this year than the Tommy Stack trained Cambiaso, who defeated five rivals by 15 lengths and more in the Ballyclough Maiden at Cork today. Providing jockey Wayne Lordan with the second leg of a double, the newcomer son of Danetime missed the break slightly but hit the front over two furlongs out before sprinting clear to record a very easy win. Afterwards Stack's son Fozzy reported "we were a bit worried about the ground for Cambiaso but he did that very well." He added "Cambiaso was a bit backward last year and just needed a bit of time. He should stay further as a half-sister to his dam was placed in the Ribblesdale. We've no immediate plans."
