Hurricane odds-on for Bud

Hurricane Run will face a maximum of nine rivals in Sunday´s Budweiser Irish Derby as the Andre Fabre-trained colt bids to gain compensation for a fast-finishing second in the ten furlongs French equivalent.

There were 13 entries remaining in the premier classic after today´s five-day stage but that figure will be reduced further as three John Dunlop-trained horses were reportedly left in by mistake.

Cashmans make Hurricane Run their 4/7 favourite, while Boylesports go 1/2 about the son of Montjeu. Both firms offer 7/2 about Epsom runner-up Walk In The Park, while the Cork firm have coupled the Aidan O´Brien-trained trio Gypsy King, Scorpion and Yehudi together at 6/1.

Cashmans betting - 4/7 Hurricane Run, 7/2 Walk In The Park, 6/1 Aidan O´Brien stable, 9/1 Bahar Shumaal, 10/1 Fracas, 20/1 Shalapour, Brahminy Kite, 33/1 Helvetio.

Boylesports - 1/2 Hurricane Run, 7/2 Walk In The Park, 6/1 Gypsy King, Bahar Shumaal, 7/1 Fracas, 14/1 Shalapour, 20/1 Brahminy Kite, Helvetio, 25/1 Scorpion, 33/1 Yehudi.
