Heffernan plots clear route on Norway Norway drew further and further clear in the final furlong of the juvenile maiden over a mile in Naas to post a decisive victory. The Galileo colt soon led for Seamie Heffernan and was ridden under three furlongs out as I Am Superman tracked him in second. The latter edged left when he came under the whip in the final quarter of a mile and could make no impression on the leader. Norway kept up the gallop and drew clear by the furlong pole. He then stretched away to score by six and a half lengths at 7/2. Bellakris stayed on for second at 25/1 from Rakan at 14/1. Seamie Heffernan said: “He improved from his first run and improved from his second run. “The horse that won in the Curragh the last day (Sydney Opera House) was placed in a Group 2 since. I expected him to win and he won well. He put his head down and galloped out. “He's probably a mile-and-a-quarter to a mile-and-a-half horse. He's lazy, laid-back and he's very easy to like and manage.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
