We have another sensational weekend to look forward to in the horse racing world as the 2,000 Guineas will take place at Newmarket tomorrow and the 1,000 Guineas on Sunday. BettingTips4you.com experts suggest avoiding the likes of Churchill as his price is way too short for the opening Classic of the season.

Having said that there are some great offers around if you don’t already have an account with some of the biggest bookmakers so in this case you can even get up to 33/1 for Churchill to win but the downside is that the maximum bet allowed is only £1 (also you get paid your winnings in free bets). If you are interested in finding out more simply go to bettingtips4you.com as they have all those offers in their ‘Enhanced Odds’ section.

The 2000 Guineas gets underway this Saturday at 3.35pm with 10 runners declared for this year’s renewal. As said Churchill has been made the favourite and this is not too surprising considering that he has won 5 times as a juvenile including two Group One successes.

Churchill is the one to beat on Saturday but our preference is for Barney Roy which represents better value at 4/1. Richard Hannon’s colt is expected to improve going up to a mile having made a very strong impression when landing the Greenham Stakes recently. On that occasion he was particularly strong at the finish which indicates he can do even better over one mile.

Another intriguing proposition is Eminent which is next in the market at 5/1. This is a track that suits him well having won the Craven Stakes here back in April and despite the competition being much stronger this time we see him making the frame. Looking at past records tough we can see that Craven winners don’t do particularly well in the Guineas and the price for him doesn't represent any particular value so Barney Roy still looks the best option by far.
