Green makes impression in Tipp opener Late money for Furner's Green proved significant in the opening two-year-old maiden at Tipperary as Aidan O'Brien's charge made an impressive debut. The son of Dylan Thomas tended to hang to his left as Joseph O'Brien asked his mount to take closer order down the straight. He took over from front-running stable-mate Battle Of Saratoga, inside the final furlong, and really hit top gear in the closing stages, posting a cosy three-length success. The winner was strongly supported close to the off and his price collapsed from 4/1 into 5/2 favourite. "He has been showing plenty at home but was a little green," said O'Brien junior, who was sporting his mother Anne-Marie's colours. "He quickened up well and won very snugly at the end. Dylan Thomas could be a good stallion." Sire Dylan Thomas also made a winning debut over course and distance back in 2005.
