Goldrun heads to Goodwood

Jim Bolger is considering another trip across the Irish Sea with Alexander Goldrun following her second to the brilliant Soviet Song in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket yesterday.

The Coolcullen trainer nominated the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood as a likely target for his multiple Group 1 heroine, and paid tribute to her conqueror at Newmarket´s July meeting saying, ´I wouldn´t take her on again. She´s a star and it´s possible that she´s better than ever. We will look at Goodwood, and return trips to Paris and Hong Kong are very much part of our plans.´

Bolger was speaking at Naas where Namaya, previously third to George Washington in the Railway Stakes, took the six furlongs two-year-old maiden in great style. The son of Namid will now return to Group company at the Curragh for the Anglesey Stakes on Oaks day (July 17).
