Gold Lunula caused a 40/1 shock by staying on strongly to take the concluding GAIN The Advantage Series Handicap at Cork. The Kevin Coleman trained filly, who had shown little in three starts as a juvenile, was racing from out of the handicap here. Joe Doyle had the filly smartly away from stalls and the pair never saw another rival from then on. Despite the lack of form and big sp, the filly looked a worthy winner and has clearly improved from two to three.

Winning jockey Joe Doyle said "I've worked her a couple times in Willie Browne's and she has been doing nothing wrong at home.

"We didn't know how we were really going so we said we better run her and she was really game and we're delighted."

"She is starting down at the right level and hopefully she will stay going up. Kevin is at the Breeze-Ups."
