Going update Both Clonmel and Cork racecourses have reported having plenty rain over the past few days with both set to race on softening ground conditions soon. Cork, which stages a meeting on Saturday, has had 25mm of rain since entries were made, with the going currently being soft, with a possibility of 2-3mm of rain during racing with with nighttime temperatures to dip down to -3. Clonmel, which races on Thursday, has had 29mm of rain since Tuesday with the going at the Tipperary course being soft on the hurdle track and yielding on the chase course — which will be run on inside track. There is a possibility of a further 15mm prior to racing, with temperatures set to be as low as -4 next week. The situation with regard to low temperatures is being monitored.
