Kilbeggan stage their flagship meeting of the year, the Midlands National, on Friday evening. The current going has been described as good, good to yielding in places.

Recent Mayo National second Ilikedwayurthinkin heads the market for the feature race(due off at 7.50).

The JP McManus owned eight-year-old had previously occupied a similar position in a competitive handicap hurdle at Aintree.

The top three jumps trainers lead the opposition with Willie Mullins saddling three runners, Gordon Elliott five and Henry De Bromhead four. Freewheelin Dylan the 2020 race winner is back for another shot, this time under leading conditional jockey Richie Condon.
