Geraghty out for a month

Champion jump jockey Barry Geraghty will be out of action for ´three to four weeks´ after breaking his thumb.

Geraghty, crowned champion for the second time when the season ended last Saturday, was on the sidelines 24 hours later after taking a fall from Brutto Facie at Gowran Park´s Sunday meeting.

Turf Club doctor Walter Halley said, ´Barry has broken his thumb, and it is in plaster. The normal time out for such an injury is three to four weeks.´
