Foley doubles up in Dundalk finale

Jockey Shane Foley completed a double at Dundalk this evening when steering Elizabeth Coffee to a third career win, in just her last five starts, in the concluding www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.

Foley was made to work hard on the daughter of Byron who was all out to hold the late challenge of Denny Crane at the line.

Winning trainer Michael Halford was not present but jockey Foley did later say “it was a very messy race and they went a very steady pace which probably didn’t suit me. However she is all heart and stayed on well.”
