Flat jockey's championship hotting up

The Flat jockeys' title race appears wide open this year with three riders currently sharing the lead on 37 winners apiece, although Stan James make Pat Smullen their 5/4 favourite.

Joseph O'Brien's championship claims have really gathered pace in recent days and he's next in the market at 7/4, while fellow joint leader Wayne Lordan is rated a 9/1 chance.

Reigning champion Johnny Murtagh is just a few winners behind at this stage and is 9/4 in the betting, while Shane Foley is 16/1.
