First ride and first win for Sinnott Favourite backers got burned in the qualified riders' race at Bellewstown as strong-travelling Rio Treasure was beaten by Dermot Weld's Hisaabaat. Mighty Whitey cut out the pace but had the two main market protagonists - Rio Treasure and Hisaabaat - waiting on his shoulder ready to pounce. As the three went past the two pole, Rio Treasure and Hisaabaat moved to the head of affairs. However, the former was absolutely tanking along while the latter came off the bridle and was ridden by Dean Sinnott. At the furlong marker Aubrey McMahon asked Rio Treasure for his effort but the answers weren't there as Hisaabaat got into full flow to stride away and win by two and three quarter lengths at 9/4. He had been uneasy during the day drifting out from 6/4. The runner-up went off the 4/5 favourite for Willie Mullins. Dean Sinnott (23) is from Bannow, Co Wexford. This was his first ride and had three mounts in point-to-points. "I've been working for Mr Weld since just after Christmas and was previously with Conor O'Dwyer," he said.
