Final Frontier created quite a first impression when powering away from his rivals in the six furlong juvenile maiden that got Irish Derby day under way at the Curragh.
The son of Dream Ahead travelled well in fifth in a pocket behind Aspar and Fantastic Secret as Dames And Diamonds set the pace. Adelina raced on his inside in fourth.
Dames And Diamonds was hard ridden with two and a half to race. Aspar and Fantastic Secret galloped past her at the two pole as Shane Foley switched Final Frontier to the right to get a run.
At the furlong marker, Final Frontier came to collar Aspar and Fantastic Secret and really opened up inside the last 150 yards to come home four and a half lengths to the good.
Jessica Harrington 's charge was returned the 15/8 favourite on debut, having been backed from 5/1 in the morning. Aspar (3/1) took second for Tommy Stack (who had won the last two runnings of this race), while 25/1 shot Fantastic Secret was a length further away in third.
Jessica Harrington said: "I thought he was a nice horse. He was working well with Rockaway Valley and I was hoping he'd come here and do that.
"He's entered in a few races including the National Stakes but we'll let the dust settle until later in the day and see what happens. He seemed to stay that six furlongs very well.
"He was pretty professional about it, and when Shane asked him to go he did."
Final Frontier was given a 25/1 quote by Paddy Power and Ladbrokes for the 2,000 Guineas while BoyleSports priced him at 16s.
