Today’s meeting at Fairyhouse will go ahead as scheduled with the first race at 12.28 after the chase course was deemed fit for racing after the latest inspection.

Parts of the chase track were found to be frozen after temperatures dropped lower than were forecast and officials inspected the track at 10am and again at 11.30 before giving it the green light.

The going on both the hurdle and chase course is soft.
