Fahey at his best aboard Shop DJ The Rockview (Q.R) Flat Race provided a thrilling finish with the Jarlath Fahey trained Shop DJ just getting up in the closing stages under a good ride by Mark Fahey. Fahey produced his mount with a challenge on the outer over a furlong and a half out. The bay mare kept on well under a strong drive by Fahey to get up and lead on the run-in and deny Endless Intrigue by a neck. Winning trainer Fahey said afterwards: "We deliberately avoided Punchestown so we could go for this race." "We weren't afraid of the ground even though she had won on soft ground. I'm delighted for Mark [Fahey] who is my nephew."
