Facethepuckout is in a rich vein of form and he supplemented his wide margin Curragh success with another easy victory in Gowran Park.

He hacked up by six lengths in the Curragh last Thursday and cruised in by the same distance in the second division of the extended mile handicap today as he reappeared under the 7lb penalty.

The 8/11 favourite moved ominously well to the head of affairs with a quarter of a mile to race and had the field toiling in the final furlong as he moved well clear. Emmet McNamara could afford to ease him down close home. Wrist Art was gambled on from 28/1 to 11/1 and was best of the rest in second under Julie Burke. Shawaf was three parts of a length further back in third at 15/2.

“He did what he was entitled to do on the handicapper's assessment of him at the Curragh,” said Michael O'Callaghan.

“He came out of that race well. He's just in a good vein of form and he's sweet at the minute.

“On old form he was well handicapped but I'd say the handicapper will catch up with him now.

“He's in again at the Curragh on Sunday.”
