Billy Lee had a night to remember at Gowran Park this evening, completing his first four-timer courtesy of Sultanov Swing in the finale.

The Paddy Twomey-trained filly was sent to post a well-backed 11/10 favourite in the second division of the nine-furlong maiden for four-year-olds plus.

Lee tracked the leaders on the daughter of American Pharoah and she cruised up to lead two furlongs from home.

Twomey's debutante was asked for an effort over a furlong out and despite drifting left in the closing stages she kept on strongly to post a three-length win over the staying on Hallowed Star

The winner, owned by Ballylinch Stud, is out of Soho Dancer, a listed placed daughter of Galileo. It was a double on the card for the owners after the earlier victory of Bay Of Bengal

Twomey said:- “She’s a nice filly and I’m delighted Ballylinch sent her to us last year. I was hoping she would do something like that. She’s the first horse I’ve had for Ballylinch.

“Billy likes her and he thinks she will progress plenty.

“She is out of a Galileo mare and it’s a family that seems to improve with age. She is the second foal.

“The first foal won as a five-year-old in Del Mar last year first time out, and the dam won last year as a ten-year-old after having the two of them in Germany.”

Lee's four-timer returned at odds of nearly 311/1. He had also struck on Star Girls Aalmal Plunkett and Bay Of Bengal.
