Gordon Elliott and Sam Ewing teamed up for a quickfire 90/1 double as Music Of Tara finished strongly on the uphill climb to the line to land the featured €45,000 Navan Handicap Hurdle.

The daughter of Kayf Tara won both over hurdles and fences for Henry de Bromhead and was having his first start here for Elliott who also saddled Jacob’s Ladder to win the previous maiden hurdle on this card.

Music Of Tara was patiently ridden by Ewing and the 12/1 chance still had plenty in front of her at the penultimate flight.

However, she made good headway on the lengthy run towards the last and struck the front over 100 yards out before galloping on strongly to beat Blaze The Way by a length and a quarter. Thecompanysergeant available at 11/1 overnight and sent off the 3/1 favourite, was just half-a-length back in third with Koori Star completing the places in fourth.

Elliott said, "John Flood from Boardsmill Stud bought her to breed from. He said he would give her a chance and see how she goes.

"Delighted to have a winner for John. Both he and Faye (Morris, wife) are very good friends of mine.

"She will mix chasing and hurdling.

"There is a race in England in three weeks time at Huntingdon that we are going to go for - a mares' Listed chase."
