The judge has had a busy start to proceedings at Gowran today and Burrenbridge Lodge needed a photo to edge the verdict in the juvenile hurdle.
9/4 favourite One Cool Shabra made a bold bid from the front in the two-miler but was just foiled in the shadow of the post.
Tom Doyle, recording a quick double, had produced Burrenbridge Lodge to challenge at the second last but he found the front-runner a tough but to crack.
The pair had a great battle from the final flight with Kieran Purcell's charge just getting his head in front where it mattered.
The winner was making it two from two over timber having taken the opening juvenile hurdle of the season at Roscommon in early August.
"We'll see how he is in the morning and play it by ear. He might go for a race at Punchestown in November, " said Purcell.
"They are a lucky syndicate (Big Five Syndicate). They also own Paddy Pub who will be back in three weeks to a months time if the ground is soft."
It was a good start to the day for Kilkenny with Windgap handler Purcell the second local trainer on the mark.
It was also a quick brace for Inistioge jockey Tom Doyle.
