Today's meeting at Down Royal will go ahead as planned following a precautionary early morning inspection.

The seven race card, featuring the Magners Ulster Derby, was put in some doubt following significant rain over the past few days.

However officials walked the track this morning and passed it fit for racing at 7.30am.

The going is curently described as soft to heavy, with fresh ground is use, and the action gets underway at 2.10pm.
