Djingle put his rivals to the sword in great style in the John F McGuire Beginners Chase at Listowel this afternoon.
The John Queally-trained gelding had been placed on both starts since joining the Dungarvan handler and opened his account over fences with a wide-margin success.
Adrian Heskin 's mount jumped up to lead at the first fence in the two-mile-one contest and made the best of his way home from there.
He had his rivals struggling three out and popped the last two in the straight to record a 19-length winning margin.
Heskin said afterwards:- “I was only a passenger on him to be fair. He’s very headstrong but John has done a fantastic job with him, and he’s a reformed horse since he came to Ireland.
“He came from France and had great form over there but lost his way a bit at Paul Nicholls. I think the set-up of a big yard didn’t really suit him, and Max McNeill and his racing manager Ian Turner decided to send him over here and it’s worked wonders for the horse.
“He was low at one or two but that’s just the French way of jumping. He was very good over the last two when I was able to keep a hold of him.”
John Queally added:- “He can be hard on himself as he’s quite keen but he jumped spectacularly today which was a big help to him. Adrian is a real horseman.
“It’s the first horse that Max McNeill has had in Ireland so I’m delighted to have his first winner here.”
