Trainer Eddie Lynam finished the 2008 season with 24 winners, following the win of his Decent Fella in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (div 2) at Dundalk tonight.
Ridden by Kevin Manning, the son of Marju chased the leaders before staying on well on the outer to lead inside the final furlong, to narrowly beat Lista Lightning by a short head.
Afterwards Lynam mentioned "Decent Fella had been working well in the spring but then chipped his knee which needed surgery at Newmarket."
