After winning the previous contest with Saltmills Blackie Henry De Bromhead quickly doubled up as his Pierlow ran out a comfortable winner of the Giantsgrave Handicap Hurdle under Barry Cash.
The five-year-old chestnut son of Double Eclipse won over the course and distance in June but disappointed on his next outing at Tipperary.
He then put in a much improved performance to finish fourth to Cut The Corner at Tramore and he was sent off a 7/1 chance this evening.
Settled in mid-division in the early stages he improved to take closer order in fourth with a circuit to race.
He hit the front at the fifth last flight and was pressed as they approached the straight. He was ridden after the second last and went on again, keeping on well to score by four and a half lengths. Chief Of Panama who travelled smoothly to the second last, found little off the bridle and he finished second under Ian McCarthy for Liam Cusack at 7/1. Lukes Hill was sent off the 4/1 favourite and he was a further five and a half lengths back in third under Tom Dowling for John Kiely while Cloudy Morning (25/1) completed the placings a length and a half away in fourth under Paddy Kennedy for Mike O’Donovan.
Henry De Bromhead said afterwards: "This fella brought up another double we had in June.
"I'm delighted for Barry, he has ridden a few for us in the past and rides plenty of work for us, but that his first winner for me although he said he rode a winner for my father before.
"He gave him a super ride and I haven’t seen him travel and jump like that before.
"I’m delighted for the Social Network Syndicate which is all run through Facebook and that is the second time he has won for them now."
