Crane returns for Dundalk success Denny Crane, successful here last month, returned to the winners' enclosure at Dundalk in the mile-and-a-half rated race tonight. Wayne Lordan had to sit and suffer on the Eddie Lynam-trained gelding as he found himself stuck behind horses. The gap appeared inside the final furlong and he burst through in the final 100 yards to record a length-and-a-quarter success over Carlito Brigante. "He likes it around here. The last day I rode him (at Leopardstown) I got there a bit soon," said Lordan. "He hadn't much room today but that suited. He quickened up well and stayed on to the line."
