Cop strikes for Condon/Lee Coprah (8/1) showed the benefit of a couple of outings this season to take the D & M Trucks supporting KARE Maiden. Billy Lee's mount stayed on well to lead inside final furlong to beat Tashqeel (11/4) by a length and a half, with Vastitas (5/2 fav) a neck further adrift in third. Winning trainer Ken Condon said: “He was a bit unlucky at Down Royal where he was drawn 11 and caught wide all the way. He was entitled to be fighting it out on his two runs. We'll aim at some sprint handicaps, and I'm sure he can improve.”
