The highly promising young pilot was shot into the air in dramatic fashion when his mount Cordless blundered at halfway in the two miles Trinity College Racing Society Handicap Hurdle. Tralee-born Cooper, who burst onto the scene with 37 winners last term, has already ridden 19 winners this season leaving him eighth in the National Hunt jockey's table.
