Cooper comes late on Symphony Rare Symphony lunged late to land the spoils in the mares handicap hurdle at Downpatrick. Front-runner Ta Blazes looked to have done enough after keeping on gamely up the hill. But Bryan Cooper got a good tune from Rare Symphony (9/2) in the closing stages to sneak up the inner and nab that rival for neck succcess. The Paul Magnier-trained mare was gaining a deserved success have finished runner-up on her two previous starts. “I like them to win like that and not by ten lengths as the last winner I had got 10lb!” said Magnier afterwards. “She might run again Sunday at the Curragh and she probably needed that a small bit. “I need a few of them as we've been out of action. I just have six horses in training so I have to make them count. “I've only had one horse run on the Flat this summer but had nine jumpers and five of them have finished in the first two.”
