Chestnutter strikes again under positive ride Chestnutter produced a powerful front-running performance to strike again in the fillies handicap at Tipperary. The Noel Meade-trained filly had opened her account in a photo finish at Leopardstown 13 days ago but there was no doubt about the verdict this time. Chris Hayes bounced out in front on the 17/2 shot and she had her rivals at work early in the straight in the seven-and-a-half furlong contest, staying on powerfully for a two-and-three-quarter length success. Hayes said:- "I should have won a two-year-old maiden on her but got into more trouble than the early explorers around Leopardstown one day! "I thought winning a maiden would be a formality but she then lost her way. Full credit to Noel for changing the riding tactics and taking off all the head gear. "She's in again (at Bellewstown) on Friday and I'll be twisting his arm hoping she'll run." (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
