Caseys enjoy Eight Till Late's win The Herds Garden absolutely cruised into contention in the bumper at Limerick, however, he couldn’t repel Eight Till Late’s powerful finish. Peter Casey’s six-year-old gelding stayed on stoutly in the latter stages of this two mile two contest and was a length up at the winning post at 16/1. This was Eight Till Late’s third run and he stepped up on the form of his fourth-placed finishes in Punchestown and Navan Bumpers. The Herds Garden was second for the third time in five races. He was nicely backed from 7/2 in early trading to an SP of 2/1 favourite. Peter Casey said: “We thought a good bit of him, but he fell in a yard in the Curragh a couple of months ago and that held him up.” Peter Casey jnr was on board the winner and he enjoyed it as he celebrated with a flourish of the whip upon passing the post.
