Former top jump jockey Tommy Carmody makes a welcome return to the training ranks when saddling three runners at Dundalk tomorrow evening.

Carmody, who is based in Johnny Murtagh’s yard on the Curragh, renewed his licence recently after a near seven year break and currently has six horses in total all carrying the colours of well-known British owner Andrew Tinkler.

Murtagh will partner the former Michael Dods-trained pair Rasputin and Vassaria as well as Miss Mediator, who was placed for Richard Hannon last year.
