Chloe Byrne gave Chummie a perfectly judged front-running ride to record her first win in the saddle at Tipperary tonight.

The Ted Walsh-trained filly did well to get across from her wide draw and pick up the running after a furlong of the mile-and-one handicap.

Despite going to post a 28/1 shot the Equiano filly travelled with ease early in the straight and kept on strongly in the closing stages to record a three-parts-of-a-length win. Noble Seal finished off well to take the runner-up spot without looking a danger to the winner.

The winning rider said:- "That was exciting and it's great to get off the mark and she kept going well.

"I went to RACE and got sent out to Ted Walsh three years ago, have been with him ever since and he is great to me. I've only ridden for Ted so far but will be looking for outside rides eventually.

"I'm from outside Caragh in Naas."
