Dylan Browne McMonagle and trainer Paul Flynn teamed up for a quick double at Dundalk as Jazz Forever overcame a seven-month break in division two of the Anthony McCrave Senior Memorial Handicap.

The grey Elzaam gelding, available at 22/1 earlier in the day but sent off at half those odds, was never too far from the pace in the finale.

He was sent on early in the straight and kept on really well inside the final furlong to beat Numidia by two and a quarter lengths.

The front-running Rock Basher could make no impression from over a furlong out finishing a further two and a half lengths back in third.

The same rider/trainer combination also took division one of this extended ten-furlong handicap with Power Drive (7/1).

Flynn said, "I think he's a nice horse and he needs to learn to settle - he was too keen today. Dylan did a great job on him.

"He'll need good ground and he'll go hurdling as well, he jumps really well."
