Booker asserted in the closing stages to run out a cosy winner of the six-furlong fillies maiden at the Curragh.

Fran Berry tucked his mount in behind the leaders in the early stages before letting her cruise into contention at the furlong pole.

She soon gained a narrow advantage and picked up nicely in the closing stages to settle matters, going on for a length victory over 50/1 newcomer Ella's Delight

The David Wachman-trained filly had run with promise on her sole start last season when chasing home Gold Peregrine at Naas.

She attracted support this morning from 7/2 and was sent off 9/4 joint favourite on track with eventual third Zaindera who was also supported from 7/2 this morning.

“Fran gave her a good ride as we didn't want to get there too soon,” said Wachman.

“We liked her last year but didn't get to run her again as she pulled muscles. We'll look at stakes races with her now.”
